Freshmen NEXT STEPS!! Admission was the first step

Congratulations, again!  You have cleared the most important step in the college selection process.  We are so happy to have you join the UWF community. Most UWF departments communicate with admitted students using the email address supplied at the time of the application.  PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS we are sending you important updates.

1) Admissions Deposit NOT required
There is NO Admissions Deposit for students starting in the Summer 2013 or Fall 2013 semesters. Students should register for orientation to secure your admissions to UWF.

2) Submit Immunization Documents (REQUIRED ALL STUDENTS) 
Prior to registering for your classes (at orientation) you are required by state law to provide proof of immunizations. Please make sure you have all your required immunizations submitted well before your orientation to prevent interference with your class registration. Submit these documents to the UWF Student Health Center ASAP! Immunization documents required:
    - Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
    - Hepatitis B 
    - Meningitis

3) New Student Orientation @ UWF (REQUIRED ALL FRESHMAN)
This program is where you will register for classes and will start your transitioning to UWF.  New Student Orientation occurs during the summer months.  Be sure to check your email for these announcements.

4) Financial Aid @ UWF
Students interested in financial aid should submit their FAFSA as soon as possible. Once admitted and your FAFSA is successfully received you can be considered for financial aid awards. Our Federal school code is 003955.    
Contact the UWF Financial Aid Office for more information today!

5) Housing @ UWF
You should know we fill our residence halls each year and recommend submitting your housing contract as soon as possible. Don't delay.

6) Join ArgoConnect
Want to join UWF's incoming Freshman social network? Engage in open dialogue with your fellow classmates. Use it to discuss interesting topics. Maybe you can find someone you would want to room with. Please check your UWF Application email address for an invitation after you have been admitted. If you have been admitted and have not received an invitation please email the admissions office at admissions@uwf.edu. *Remember you must be an admitted FTIC freshman for the upcoming Fall/Summer semester to qualify. 

*Honors Program @ UWF
Qualified students will hear from Honors by mail or by phone about the possibility of joining the Honors Program.  If you have not heard from Honors and wish to see how your profile stacks up against their criteria, visit the Honors website.
