About The Handbook (& Logo)

As an adaptation of an earlier guide, first compiled by Ron Colletti in the early 1990s, The Handbook was intended then, as it is now, to aid officers and chairs of the Pensacola Section in carrying out their duties. Due to unforeseen circumstances, it became immediately apparent that the occasional review was now necessary.* As elected or appointed members of the Executive Committee, to recognize the "sea changes," to take the appropriate correct action(s), and to be in command and control are our collective responsibilities.

Ron Colletti had first used the graphics shown on the cover in our previous meeting notices and Newsletters. Prior to the early 1990s, the Pensacola Section was, and remains today as, a small Section with the Florida Section comprising the "rest of Florida." The latter has since beget five Local Sections. On June 9, 1997, our Executive Committee adopted the above logo for official use by the Pensacola Section.

We thank the contact staff personnel of the SOCIETY for making this revision possible. Their responses to our queries were not only helpful but timely.
