Welcome to the Division of Student Affairs at the University of West Florida! The staff in the division are responsible for most of the non-academic components of the student experience at UWF. We provide quality services, programs and facilities that enrich the educational experience of students. Our priority is to help you be academically, socially, mentally and physically successful while you are here.
The Division of Student Affairs at UWF is comprised of 11 departments: Career Services, Counseling and Wellness Services (including Student Health Center), Dean of Students (including Student Rights and Responsibilities), Educational Research Center for Child Development, Housing and Residence Life, Intercollegiate Athletics, Recreation and Sports Services, Inclusion and Diversity Programs (including military connections and student disability resources), Student Transition Programs (including family programs), Testing and Technology and University Commons and Student Activities (including Greek affairs, student organizations and leadership development). The staff in the 11 departments work collaboratively internal to and external from the division to provide a robust array of programs and services to meet the needs of the diverse students who attend UWF.
Take advantage of all the options to get involved in and connected to the University. Live on campus. Cheer on the Argonauts at a sporting event. Join a fraternity or sorority or one of the over 120 student organizations on campus. Attend a lecture or one of our annual events such as Homecoming or Fall Frenzy. Volunteer in the community. Participate in a club sport or intramurals. Opportunities abound! The more you put in to your collegiate experience the more you will get out of it. If you can’t find what you’re looking for on our website, please contact us at studentaffairs@uwf.edu.
If there is anything that the staff or I can do to make your experience at UWF better, please let us know. Please "like us" on our Facebook page, UWF Division of Student Affairs. You can also follow me on Twitter (@uwfvpsa).
