State of Florida Vocational Rehabilitation Application - Vocational Rehabilitation sponsors an office on campus located in the Student Affairs Building 19, Room 100D. In certain cases, VR and SDRC work collaboratively to identify the best method to secure documentation to substantiate a disability for the student to receive educational accommodations. Theodore R. & Vivian M. Johnson Scholarship - The Johnson Scholarship, funded by the Theodore R. and Vivian M. Johnson Scholarship Foundation, Inc., is a competitively awarded program which is available to undergraduate students with disabilities who enroll in a State University System of Florida (SUS) institution.

Dan McLeod Memorial Scholarship - The Dan McLeod Memorial Scholarship is a competitively awarded scholarship which is available to undergraduate and graduate students with disabilities who attend the University of West Florida (UWF).  Students must adhere to the following application guidelines in order to qualify for consideration.

The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars - The Washington Center is able to provide a total of 50 competitive scholarship awards in the amount of $8,500 for each eligible undergraduate student with disabilities interested in working in the executive, judicial or legislative branches of the federal government during the fall 2006 and spring 2007 semesters (scholarships are not available in the summer).

Educational Testing Services - This link provides information on standardized testing for students with disabilities wishing to enter or graduate from UWF. Information including requirements, documentation standards, procedures, and application can also be found at this site.

Appeal for Waiver of Graduation Requirement - Students with specific documented disabilites who cannot meet certain University undergraduate graduation requirements can appeal for a subsitution or waiver. For consideration, complete and print the form (it's interactive so type directly in the form). Then, bring the form to the SDRC office in Building 19 Room 100D. If your documentation supports your claim, a letter supporting your appeal will be written and sent with the form to the Registrar's Office.

Tutoring Services - Tutoring services are available to all UWF students through the Learning Center in bldg. 52 Room 151. They provide free face-to-face and online tutorial assistance and academic support services to all currently enrolled students. In addition to the Learning Center, tutoring is also available at Mathematics and Statistics Tutoring Lab located in building 4, room 302 and the Writing Lab located in the Writing Center in Bldg 51 Room 157.

Counseling and Wellness Services -Counseling service offers counseling and therapy to help students address how to manage, cope and grow with the stress associated with school and life. The primary goal of counseling is to help students develop the personal awareness and skills necessary to overcome problems and to develop in ways that will allow them to take advantage of the educational opportunities at the university.

Military and Veterans Resource Center -The primary goal of the Military and Veterans Resource Center (MVRC) is helping military and veteran students successfully transition from the military environment to campus life. The UWF MVRC is located in Building 38 room 147; Hours 0800 - 1700.
