Free ArcGIS for Students
ArcGIS Desktop software (versions 10.1, 10 and 9.3.1) is available for students to install on their own computers. These will work only on Windows PCs running 7, Vista or XP and are good for one year from date of install.
To be eligable for a copy you must be: A) currently enrolled student who has completed GIS4043L (Intro GIS Laboratory) and is enrolled in the GIS certificate program or B) using ArcGIS for research.

Training Courses
UWF's license grants us free access to all ESRI's Virutal Campus GIS training courses. Email Nathan McKinney to request an access code. A list of courses can be found here.
Lab Rules & Policies
- Save data and documents in your own folder on the D-drive or to your H or I drives ONLY.
- Lab printers are for limited use by GIS instructor permission ONLY. Papers, homework, email etc should be printed using the WEPA print kiosk system.
- Do not make changes to computer software or hardware including cabling and moving monitors.
- Do not install programs or toolbars.
- Do not access, change or delete any files other than your own
- Using software for commercial or nonacademic purposes is a violation of our licenses and is prohibited.
- No food, no drinks.
- Respect others working (take phone conversations outside and set notification/ringer to SILENT).
- This facility is for GIS/RS coursework, projects and research only.
- Observe the UWF Computing Resources Agreement
Failure to follow these policies will result in ejection and may result in permanent loss of access to GeoData Center facilities.
