The Purpose of BACCHUS and GAMMA

Boosting Alcohol Consciousness Concerning the Health of University Students (BACCHUS) and Greeks Advocating for Mature Management of Alcohol (GAMMA) is the oldest student organization committed to education, training, and support for peer prevention on college campuses.  BACCHUS and GAMMA believes that within the campus community, students can play a uniquely effective role unmatched by professional educators - by encouraging their peers to consider, talk honestly about, and develop responsible habits, attitudes, and lifestyles regarding alcohol, drugs and related life issues.

BACCHUS and GAMMA is an organization that promotes responsible behavior from faculty, staff, and students. This organization strives to motivate the university community into examining new methods for combating problems associated with alcohol and other drug use.
