| 3:30 p.m. | Ceremonial Groundbreaking of the UWF B.E.S.T. House UWF Engineering and Computer Technology (Construction) Dept. The B.E.S.T. House will showcase green building, energy efficiency and windstorm mitigation and will be built on campus by Philip Russell Homebuilders. The home will allow for educational opportunities for students, community and professional groups through drop-in visitors, outreach efforts, continuing education, and professional development opportunities. This event will unveil the conceptual plans and will place the sign at the site. |

This event will highlight the dedication of a special alumni work of art. Dedication of “Dance of Sun & Moon” by Alumnus Peter King UWF Center for Fine and Performing Arts (CFPA) Peter King, UWF alumnus and renowned artist, has graciously donated a piece of his work to the University of West Florida. We will dedicate the art to its new home here on the UWF main campus and hold the dedication in conjunction with the Alumni Art Exhibition Invitational. |

| 7:30 p.m. 8:30 p.m. | Concert Showcase UWF CFPA Mainstage Theatre The UWF Music and Theater Departments present a “Concert Showcase” in the Mainstage Theatre in the Center for Fine and Performing Arts. This showcase will feature the talents of students and faculty in styles varying from jazz to classical, serious to comical and 60 piece ensembles to intimate solo performances. The Concert Showcase is a unique event in that the no pause, no applause format allows for the audience to see a montage of different performance aspects of the Music and Theater Departments in a non-stop 60 minute presentation. This is a concert event anyone will enjoy and is free and open to the public. A reception, catered by Soiree, will be held before and after the event. |
